I am a ceramicist and sculptor inspired by nature, organic shapes and movement. I attempt to portray character and energetic essence rather than physical form.
It's all about the process of creation – feeling good, when things are moving to the right direction or having anxious anticipation for solution as if solving a puzzle, until you are on the right track. The interesting thing is that you always know when a new piece is complete – it radiates its own unique personality.
I work predominantly in clay, using various hand building techniques, including block carving, slab building, coiling and combination of above.
